And the merky sleeping bag rating system. I would say that the consideration for a good quality sleeping bag is well worth the investment. I yield on the safe side, so if the temperature rating is listed at 40 degrees, then I'll get one that will be confortabe at 25 or 30 degrees. I use two bags, one for summer and one for winter conditions. What type of sleeping bag do you prefer? And I don't like 'mummy' bags. I like a bag that zips all the way down so I can stick my feet out if I want to. Don't ask me why... I just do! Here's an interesting article on sleeping bag ratings myth.
