Ive been thinking about this for awhile now. We are all well aware of the political shift that has taken place with this current administration. Im sure that everybody here knows that it is more than politics. For the first time ever, the conservative christian is a now a minority in this country.
We have all seen the shortages of ammo and reloading supplies, all the talk of anti-gun legislation, even doomsday conspiracies. The question is, what are we as christian men supposed to do when worse comes to worse?
What will you do when the ATF is at your door asking you to turn in your AR and semiauto shotgun? When all you can have is a Red Ryder BB gun? Those things are just firearms...what about when teaching and preaching the true word of God becomes hate speech? What will you do then? What are we instructed to do as men of God?
Im not trying to be dramatic...what will you guys do? What does the Bible tell is to do? Do we fight...do we surrender without compromising our beliefs?

That's a very good question? My personnal reaction is to fight for what I beleive in, that being said I would have to pray hard about it. I do beleive God wants us to stand up for freedom and our faith! Since the founders of this country decided that we would have the right to bear arms it's worth defending! Just my opinion.

I'm a bit conflicted... On one side, you are supposed to stand up for what you believe in. On the other side, you have "Thou shalt not kill", and "turn the other cheek"... Not really certain where we all come out. My question is this: if Jesus, who could have called ten thousand angels to destroy the world and set him free, decided to walk willingly to his own destruction - are we not duty bound to follow his example? Luke 6:27-29 KJV

Those are difficult questions to answer Schrader. The Bible is full of verses to support both arguments. God tells us not to kill, but makes exceptions for defending our life and the lives of our family . We are to turn the other cheek, and surrender to Ceasar what is Ceasar's, but we are also told to witness to the world and to fight evil at every turn. Jesus himself overturned the tables in the Temple and chased out the sinners. I can't say for certain what I will do when they come for my guns. I have a wife and daughter that God blessed me with and feel it is my duty to Him to defend them to my last breath. When they take our guns, we will be led to the slaughter. We all have a purpose, God has a use for each of us and it isn't the same for all of us. I am sure many will lay down their guns without a fight. Maybe that is his plan for them. Many more will not, especially when a muslim is giving the orders. I believe I will keep my guns, at least until I run out of bullets.
