We all have them friction, box, tube, mouth etc.. What's yours?
I guess mine is a Quaker Boy "Double Slate" it was one of the first calls I purchased!

I'm a big fan of slates and box calls, but I like a good diaphram the best. Doesn't require lowering the gun to use... LOL.

Diaphrams are sweet when you can use them correctly! It took me years to get it. MsHardcase is really good she's a natural.

Diaphragm. The only way to go. I know everyone has their preference. and not everyone can master a diaphragm. But from my standpoint they have it all over other calls. When I go afield I take one pot call Blacky made for me years ago. and a rather large selection of diaphragms. I can make any call with a diaphragm that can be made with any other call. I can carry over a dozen calls in a pouch I where around my neck. I never have to worry about inadvertent calls. while walking or getting the call out. And I can use them hands free while aiming my shotgun. They are light. and require little space. so when running and gunning their is no hassle. when I absolutely need to work 2 calls at one time. I break out the pot call and go to it. producing a fighting purr. or feeding flock. and I need no cumbersome vest to hinder my movement.
