Have any of you shot anything yet???
I'll have to download the pics off my camera. My brother whacked a BIG doe saturday morning. She went a little ways, but dropped out in a cut cornfield. Steep quartering angle, went in at the back of the ribs, exited the offside shoulder. About 40 yards. I'll get pics up later today...

Nothing yet. Early Muzzleloading starts Saturday, but it maybe too dry, it's really bad.

Let's see if this works. OK, for the story. I saw this doe 6 days before he killed it, and it was within range, but never gave me a shot. He'd seen it that morning and passed it up, because he didn't want to deal with a deer before church (sunday morning). So... the next saturday he went out, and had several small bucks come through before this doe followed a few yearlings in. She was pretty nervous and stayed out at about 40 yards. She was quartering away, and the arrow went in at the back of the ribs, and exited the offside shoulder. As you can see, this was a BIG doe. Good one to take out of the herd. Don't know how much she weighed, but it took 2 of us to drag her out and get her into the truck. Good start to the season! gd
