Well, I'm headed up north this weekend to try my hand at steelhead fishing on an inland lake/river. I haven't been fishing in a while, and I'm really looking forward to it. There is supposed to be some rain coming in this weekend, but It'll be fun to get away. gd

Well, as it turns out, it was a couple weeks later than I expected, but here is the results of our trip. Ended up with 10 steelhead for the afternoon, most of them were 17 or 18". Really good eating. Not too bad for southern CA...

3 of them didn't make it past the open fire that evening... My mouth is watering even as I think about it. A little butter, garlic and lemon juice (very little - natural flavor is too delicious).
The rest were done on the grill in an aluminum foil "boat" with similar ingredients. Just love being able to grab the tail and pull out the bones... This was the best freshwater fish I've had in a long time...
