How often do the deer you shoot with a bullet drop in there tracks and die? (I think we will leave the arrows out this time)
No tracking and no follow up shot.

Depends on a few things... Like if they are close to a property line. If so, I just try to take out the spine. Although several have dropped like a rock with standard chest shots. Seems a little more commonplace with larger diameter bullets, or at least thats been my experience...

My last two deer were heart shots and both droped in their tracks. Neather one even kicked just droped straight down. I was shooting my 7mm Rem Mag. with 180 grain. Both deer were under 50 yeards form my stand...MJEdens
