we have been at it for just over a week here in Kansas. The temps have been like a roller coaster so that doesn't help matters any. I would say overall I am not doind as good as I would like to but at least I have caught some stuff.
I am trapping in a new area this year and I don't have many sets out yet, 8 to 10 total. I am looking everyday for new trails and set locations. But so far I have got 2 coons, 1 badger, 1 nice looking yote, and a few incidentals(rabbit, farm cat, birds).
How are you guys doing???

I hear you guys. It has been a struggle for me to get the time and that is why I only have a few sets out but I am going to slowly get more and more out til I get it the way I want it.

Josh so far I've gotten around 200 coon, and 6 fox. It would have been alot better year with some better prices. I have 1 beaver dam I'm working on, but am wondering if the beaver left, none of my sets have been disturbed there. Its a small drainage, the waters too deep there now for a suitable den of any sort. I guess the beaver must have gotten carried away, unless he has a den below the dam, but it still hasn't gone over the crossover into deeper water.

I have out aound 75 snares right now, about 2 doz. dp's, and 3 doz. 220's. Mostly all land trapping, but the 220's are covering tiles in the drainages. In Iowa we can trap the ditches, plus I have a bunch of old abandoned farms I have permission for. Got another 18 over the weekend. Right now my route is down to about 30 miles. But earlier I was putting on close to 70 miles a day. I have the rest of the week off so I'm going to put the hammer down on them for a week.
