Has anyone seen a fawn yet? They should be on the ground any time now.

i was surprised a couple of weeks ago when i was up in the great northern michigan. we saw a ton of deer, big and small, but none with any spots.
the only one i did see was on the way back home standing alongside the e-way, with mom begging her to come back away from the traffic. i swear the thing was no bigger than a beagle is tall. must of been a newborn

We spent the last couple of days at camp and the deer and horse flys were the worst I have ever seen them. We didn't see any 4 legged critter's but after being bit quite a few time's by the fly's I can understand why. I guess they are laid up in the thicket's so they are hard for the flys to find. We did see two hen Turkey's but no poults? ?? don't know if they haven't hatched yet or their nest were busted up.
