Why was Able's sacrifice acceptable to God, when Cain's was not? I was wondering what you all know about this.
I have two theroies, but not sure if either is right.
1. Some translations talk about Cain's attitude not being right. 2. It was not a blood sacrifice.

I think the reason Cain's sacrifice wasn't accepted was mainly that it wasn't a blood sacrifice. See, the shed blood of that innocent lamb was a picture of Jesus and His death upon the cross. When Cain tried to replace the lamb with things he had grown, it took away from the picture that God was painting, and replaced it with another. In other words, it took away from the picture that salvation is of grace through faith and replaced it with a picture of salvation through works.

Yes Bro.Freddie, you are right, about the blood of the lamb, But the lamb hadn't came into the world yet. But think about what God said to Adam and Eve, when he(God) banished them from the garden of Eden. God Cursed the ground, and said that it would bring fourth weeds and thorns and that Man, (Adam, and his seed) would have to toil by the sweat of his face in the Earth for his food and it would be very diffuculte to make things to grow. Now God can't except a sacrifice, from something that he has cursed. This is befor the blood of the lamb. Now because of the blood of the lame even We, (Man) who was cursed, can now be forgiven, Because of the blood of Jesus Christ Son of the liveing God, Our prayer, Sacrifice is accepted. I belive that Satin, new this also, and put this envy in Cane for what he grew over what Able brought, the Blood of inoncence Lamb, Which goes back to the Blood of the most high Lamb of God, His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ...Mjedens
