Today is the opener here. Myself and fish were out a good 45 minutes before first light, Fish had a couple go through just before light but couldn't see them. At 8:15 I saw a flash of white on one of the trails we had cut. After peering around and through the evergreen bows I saw antlers. It was the twin 4 pointers that I had seen in the front yard a few months back. I (already with the shakes) quickly got on the 2 way radio to Sean that there was 2 bucks out in front of me and to start blowing his grunt call. They started in a different direction but looked his way every time he grunted. I told him to try his fawn bleat.... to no avail. Eventually they turned back and the largest one hit my window to shoot. WOW perfect shot I watched my shaft bury to the fletching. He ran maybe 30 yards directly in front of Sean and dropped. We are waiting now for the rain to let up a bit and are going to try to drag it the 200 yards with Blaze ( he needs to start earning his keep) will have pictures as soon as we get it back and taken care of. ;D
