What is big going to be in 20-30 years from now? With the devolopment of food plots and the future developments that are sure to come what are the racks of the future going to look like? It seems that QDM's popularity will have an effect as well. What do you all think, I find this pretty interesting.

I think that most will be the same as now but possibly a better amount of 6's and 8's , maybe even a few 10 thrown in.
When we get to the 2 1/2's it could be a whole new ballgame, It could become a rarity to even see any in the daylight as they are becomming so much smarter and elusive.
Just my thoughts.

I think that while QDMA is growing with leaps and bounds, there is and always will be a limit on just how big bucks can get. Those of you who have a few more seasons under your belt know what I'm talking about. While I know a couple of you have Booners to your credit, the odds of taking a deer of that caliber, while higher in some areas than others, is still slim. IF QDMA practices are adopted in most areas, the average size of bucks will continue to grow. Consider this: 15 years ago, anyone who shot a 170" typ. or 200" non-typ. deer had his face plastered on the front of at least one major publication. Now, it's an afterthought (and many go unnoticed on a national scale). However, it takes a LOT of factors swinging in the right direction for a deer to reach 200". We truly are in the golden age of deer hunting as far as numbers are concerned. However, I believe that the biggest issue in the future will be urban expansion, and more hunting pressure on existing lands. That MAY nullify any further improvements. OR hunters will continue to be more selective, and as the average age of bucks increase, so will antler size. The largest whitetail I'm aware of was a pen-raised deer that had somewhere around 400" of antler (gross B&C). However, with the strains of actual pressured living, I don't foresee the ceiling getting too much higher. But I've been wrong before, and hope I am now. LOL
