What's your favorite deer cartridge or gauge (rifle, shotgun or handgun)?
-What type of action do you prefer in the rifle, shotgun or handgun you use most of the time for deer hunting?
What sighting system does your deer rifle, shotgun or handgun have, scope, red dot, holosight, receiver sight, open sights?
-If you prefer a bow, is it a recurve, stick & string or a compound?
-Which manufacturer produced your favorite deer hunting rifle, shotgun, handgun or bow?
Here's my answers:
cartridge = 30.06 Rem.
type of action = semi-auto
type of sight = Simmons Widefield 3-9x50mm
manufacturer = Remington

Gees, That is a tough one. Kind of like asking a man which of his children he loves most. I have so many favorites, To pick one would be impossible. just what make a particular weapon My favorite has as much to do with how I acquired it as how effective it is. But if I had to choose one It would Be My Browning Medallion. Although the weapon is a stone cold tack driver. That is not what really makes it my favorite. The first year Tina And I were married she wanted to get me something special for Christmas. So she solicited the help of my brother. In spite of his warnings that when it came to hunting stuff, and firearms in particular, I was very particular. Tina figured if she took my brothers advice on what to get she could not go wrong. he suggested the Browning Knowing I favored them. and he suggested 280 Remington caliber because I did not have one. He was wrong. I have a 7mm Express Remington. which is the same thing. The y topped it off with a leupold VX III 3 X 9 X 50. I sure was surprised that x-mass morn. it was undoubtedly the most beautiful gun I had ever seen, The Shinny walnut stock That says browning. and gold inlay on the scroll work of the receiver, and Mag box. I prized it so much I would not take it into the woods for fear of scratching it. One day Tina said "You don't like the gun I bought you huh" I told her I loved it was as beautiful as her. she asked "then why don't you use it? " I explained why and she said "I bought it for you to use. not hide away, I would rather you tore it to pieces using it, than let it sit until one of the kids gets it. So i began using it. It ain't so pretty anymore But it is comfortable, and dependable, an old friend that has served me well, a loyal companion who has never let me down, Kind of like the gal that gave it to me.

Well I use a 12 ga. Winchester 1300 for the firearms season here, I have been thinking of getting a muzzleloader. I shoot a Martin Firecat Bow, but am considering a new Parker.
