I got an invitation from an acquaintance this past winter to hunt in South Dakota for muleys/whitetails, pheasants, & pronghorn. Due to constraints with work, I was unable to make the trip. I'm really hoping to make it next fall. I was forwarded a few pics - a couple from this year, and one from last year. The first 2 pics are from this fall, the third from last year. Just makes me look forward to next fall! Enjoy! gd

Awesome; I didn't know that SD had that kind of quality, One of those "combo" hunts could really make a season.
Did you get to the Up this year?

bronc, Nope, didn't get up there - same problem. I talked with a buddy who was there this year, and it was TOUGH. Total take for 2nd week was one doe. Out of 20 hunters they killed a total of 4 bucks. I guess no one was seeing any deer to speak of. They tried a few drives that always produce, and didn't jump any deer. They have speculated that several tough winters in a row has the deer numbers down significantly in that area of the UP, although I heard kill numbers were down quite a bit all over the U.P. I hope you all had a decent season, and were able to stack up a few. I'm down to bowhunting over Christmas, and that'll be it unless I can get out one more weekend for bear. Good luck finishing out the season! gd
