We are putting another float in the parade, this time the 4TH of July We have a theme chosen and are working on all of the details for it.
What kind of theme's have you seen or would your church use for this holiday?
I will tell what ours is after a couple responses/ if any.

I will see if I can describe the float. Titled: ONE NATION UNDER GOD It WILL have 2 crosses on it, one at each end of the wagon, with American flags draped over them. I am in the process of getting a 2 ft ball painted baby blue, and it will have a green United states painted on each side. we have a person to play the part of JESUS holding the painted ball, with some of our vocal team and hopefully a lot of the kids singing...... He's got the whole world in his hands.
So that is the plan..... what do you think? Is there something that I should add? Don't be shy, speak up....LOL

Well things went pretty good, first the person that was to portray JESUS couldn't make it The theme was changed to "Blessed is the nation whose God is the lord"..Psalm 33-12 which was good The Earth was the right color blue, but the United states turned brown.
The music player stopped working just before the parade began.
The good news was that the pastor was walking with the float and half way through some stopped him and wanted to be baptized. just a bit past half way, a group of teens/young adults began singing..... He's got the whole world in his hands.
Overall I feel it was a success because of the person wanting to be baptized and I'm very happy the lord led us through this. Nexxt up is CHRISTMAS. can't wait
