Needless to say it's been tuff hunting this week, we had temps in the low 30's in the mornings to highs in the high 80's, which I guess has the Turkeys not Gobbling. I have only heard 4 Gobbles so far, which make's it hard to decide where to hunt. I set up Wednesday at 12:00 noon in one of my deer food plots and did some blind calling. I used a Copper Pot call made by Larry Gresser, a Box Call made by R.J. Adams and my Knight & Hale Ol Yeller Slate-Tec Call, I would call every 15 minutes or so with one of the three different calls just to put different sounds out there. At 4:15 he came in silent but all fuzzed up ready to do battle with B-HollyWood-Moble over his hens, but I saved Ol HollyWood a tail whipping and shot shot him just before he could jump on him....... ;D ;D ;D He weigthed 22 lbs, 7 oz's, his beard was 11 1/4 inch long, 1 5/8 inch spurs... He had the best Spurs of any Turkey I have ever taken, this one made #12 for me. The Glory Shot.... ;D The Knitting Neddle Sharp Spurs. In this picture we decided there had never been a picture taken with a Turkey at my Mamaw and Papaw Calhoun's old Home Place, so here's he First one. We are still trying to get Marjie a Bird. We are wishing everyone the Best Of Luck in your seasons.

Thanks Guys, they still aren't gobbling down here which has made it super tuff hunting. I seem to have the gift of setting up and finding hen's.....but they never have gobblers with them. ?? We have till next wednesday to hunt here at camp, then we will hit the road headed to North Eastern Ky to start our Road Trip. I still have faith I can find Marjie a Home Bird.....ok I have my fingers crossed really hard......lol Good Luck Everyone.
