A friend and I had a discussion the other day and I realized that I have really never heard or studied animals and heaven. Do they have a place or are we the only inheritors of the kingdom?

I'd like to think there's a place for my dogs there with me. You know though, they used to burn sacraficial lambs as an offering to christ. Did the lamb make it there as their offering?

I seem to remember a verse talking about peace and it mentioned "and the lion shall lay down with the lamb" or something to that effect.
I cannot imagine a heaven without my dogs and cats(not all of them, I'm sure a few will end up in the other place).

God said that He reconciles all things! So I tend to think are pets will be there too.

I have never run across any Scriptures that teach that animals will or will not be in heaven. So what follows is not "Thus saith the Lord". I tend to think, and I say think, that animals will not be in heaven. I think that since animals don't have an actual soul as we humans do that they won;t be in heaven. But like I said, the Scriptures don't say one way or the other, so I can't be dogmatic about it.
