Please pray for this family.
Hi. Thank you for your ministry. I’m writing because I feel all alone in a particular concern that I’ve been praying about. That loneliness has been hard on me, so I thought that sharing that concern with you would help release at least some of my burden and, even more importantly, get more people praying about this concern. So please forward this to your prayer list department.
I have a friend named Denise Graham. She’s very friendly and compassionate, but I’ve begun having some very deep concerns about her physical and spiritual well being. I believe very strongly that she is a Christian; that she long ago received Jesus as Lord and Savior. She was much more than just a casual church goer. I can tell that from my conversations with her. And she’s a very loving mother. But I am concerned that some personal anguish and bad influences are in the process of leading her into a negative lifestyle. I also get the impression that she is turning away from the church out of guilt, possibly even fearing that she’s lost her salvation and done something that God isn’t willing to forgive her for.
She and her husband, Kevin, are going through a divorce. And while I don’t have a lot of details about it, based on what she’s told me, it seems that her divorce is based on convenience and just little quirks on the part of her husband rather than him being physically abusive, adulterous or abandoning, which I think are the only three reasons that God would approve of divorce. In addition, Denise now has a new boyfriend, who I don’t think is a Christian.
