Bible Study Verse
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (HCSB) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thoughts
We all know this verse. Most of the time when we start to read the Bible this is were we start.
Recently, my son and I were sitting in a blind, hoping that we would see a deer walk by. We went through the same basic process as anyone else: hiking to the blind in the dark; trying to be quiet; tripping over every rock in the area. As we get settled into the blind, something amazing occurs--something we take for granted all too often--God creates a new day. As the sun comes up, the woods come alive; the air warms up a little, the birds start singing, and you realize once again the magnificence of God. Each of us has a special place where we feel closest to God. With me, it is when I am in the woods, especially at sunrise. "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." (DW)
Action Point
No matter what the day before was like, everything starts fresh and new with each sunrise. We often forget to give thanks for the fresh start that God gives us and the continued blessing that we receive. God has truly blessed my family, and He blessed my son with his first deer that morning.

Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
If you are sitting in the blind and you are not wearing blaze orange, place a orange item on a limb above you. This will allow other hunters to know from a distance that you are there and not spoil your hunt.
