Bible Study Verse
Jeremiah 16:16
"But now I will send
for
many
fisherman," declares the Lord, "and they
will catch
them. After that I will send for many
hunters, and they
will hunt them down on every mountain and
hill and
from the crevices of the rocks." (NIV)

Thoughts
I can see the outline of the trees in my yard
with the
sun slowly rising behind it. The start of a
new day,
and today, the start of a new year. All the
adventures
we had last year are memories that will
hopefully add
to the building blocks that will make us
even more
successful in the endeavors that we all
continue to
pursue. And for that and so much more we
are
thankful. The year ahead will no doubt
have its
challenges, successes and its
disappointments. In
all of them, God is there. He always is. No
matter
where we fish or where we hunt, we must
all
remember what God truly wants us to
harvest. (JC)
Action Point
Hopefully at some point this year, we will all
have the
opportunity to tell someone about God and
what he
has done for us. It may surprise you when
the
opportunity arises. It could happen during
a fishing
trip, while walking a field for pheasant or
while waiting
in a duck blind, but for a lot of us, it will
happen. When
it does, God will give us the courage and
words to
make us all fishers and hunters of men.

Sportsmen's Tip of the
Day
Before going on any outing, visualization can be a
major key to success. Visualize yourself catching a
big fish or making the perfect shot. By doing this you
are showing your conscious mind what to expect.
When the time comes, more often that not, your
subconscious will take over and you will receive the
desired result.
