hardcase, since you're retired, I'd say you should be able to loan me the $. ;D Although if i ever have a gun that costs that much, I'm wasting money... gd

I had a 4 bore muzzleloader in my hands back in Janurary at our muzzleloader club shoot. One of our members is building it for some fellow to go an elephant hunt. Quarter pound of lead round ball. Only uses 200 grains of black powder. One fine squirrel gun. Blow the tree out from under him and scare him to death. Don't hurt the meat at all.

oldman, did you offer to take care of his shootin' irons in case of lethal shoulder seperation??? ;D I'm a bit nuts, but I sure wouldn't want to drop the hammer on something like that. Hardcase, didn't want to put you in a bind, just figured you were gonna dip into your retirement fund. ;D gd

Offered to hold it against a tree for him. He says from research he did that it had more push than thump. Still don't want to try. The guy he is building it for said he most likely would not do any target practice with it.
