What do you think of black guns, ie...AR-15's, AR-10's, etc? Do you they have a place in your gun cabinet? Do you think they should be outlawed? Do you not care either way?

Here's a fact for you! There more "black" guns registered in this country than ever before!
I used to think there might be a problem with them, but after a friend of mine got one to predator hunt with i changed my opinion. I'm looking for one right now.

Everyone should have at least one. Seriously. As soon as I can scrape together the spare change, I'm gonna get one. One of the most versatile guns ever created, and with the caliber options available today, it's a no-brainer. Guns are WAAYYYYY too restricted as it is, without slinging semi-autos into the mix. ARs are a perfect coyote gun, as well as any other varmints. Bad-mouthing ARs dumped Zumbo's writing career, so I'd say a majority of outdoorsmen feel the same. Here's a good way to look at it: Americans have a history of adopting military arms for sporting purposes. With caliber combinations from .22 lr to big bore rounds, the versatility shows that its sporting abilities are being taken advantage of by multiple manufacturers and thousands of avid outdoorsmen. THERE WILL ALWAYS be a place in my safe for an AR. gd

I asked this a while back just to see what you guys thought... I've had an AR for over a year now and I love it. Mine has a RRA 20" bull-barreled upper on a Stag Arms lower. I ordered the upper, and a friend of mine happened to have the lower on hand. (With the deal he gave me, I wasn't going to be picky.) Topped off with a 4-16x44 scope its a squirrel killing machine. I was hoping to shoot some coyotes with it last year, but I was too busy trapping...maybe this year. So far I haven't found anything it doesn't like, but I am becoming partial to Hornady's 52gr. A-Max and 52 gr. BTHP Match bullets-either one is sweet. Oh, and for what its worth, the 30rd mags look cool, but I ended up having to get 20's to be able to shoot off of stuff. Schrader

I've got a friend whose coyote rifle is an AR-15 with a match grade upper/barrel and a Gen-III night vision scope (his preferred method of hunting is after dark with calls). Probably the most awesome combination I've ever seen. A bit heavy, but well worth the weight. As soon as I have the extra change, I'm in for one of the same.
