First let me say that this is not meant to be a divisive thread, or to be insulting, or a platform to criticize others beliefs, just a simple question or two.
What denomination (if any) are you?
and
Why?
Is it a certain matter of doctrine? Is it the only church in your area? Do you really like the leadership? Even an answer of "That's where I've always gone" is sufficient.
For me, I am a Southern Baptist.
My church is not the normal Baptist Church we have a lot of members that come from a lot of other denominations.

I'm a Missionary Baptist.
I guess I have more than one reason. First, I was raised in a Missionary Baptist church. That's what my parents are, my grandparents were and so forth.
Secondly, and more importantly to me anyways, is that from the research I have done, I think that what the Missionary Baptist teach is the closest to what Christ taught His original church. Notice I said closest, not exact.
I have nothing against others, except when they go against the Word of God. I have even considered Southern Baptist, but the one here in Murfreesboro is too liberal for my conservative views.
I have been called to preach the Gospel, not make judgments. I try to preach as God would have me to, but I try to leave the judging to the One who knows everything.

Grew up in an Apostolic Christian Church... Still attend one as well as a few other churches. Still considering a few other denominations.

Church of God
My grandfather was an ordained Church of God minister. My uncle, on the other side of the family, was also an ordained Church of God minister and for many years their financial leader out of the home office in Cleveland Tennessee. He also started several churches n the Pacific Northwest and a Bible college in Washington State.
His son, my 1st cousin Jerry Goff, was also a Church of God minister but later became a Baptist. He's also a musician and fund raiser for Christian organizations. Often on Christian networks on TV.
One of his other sons was the student dean of Lee College (University) in Cleveland which is the Church of God's denominational university.
So I was raised, born and bred as they say, Church of God and I'm a member of the Durst Ave Church of God here in town and have been since right after I was baptized at the age of 14.
